2008 v 2009 R²; Differnces

Visited the local Yamaha dealer yesterday, there are some deals to be had on a 2008. Does anyone know if there are any changes to the 2009 model?

I hope the 178 thing worked, because it doesn't show in preview dunno

What I know of:

1. 2009 model doesn't have the rubber ring around the rear sprocket
2. price is going up a few hundred.

I have an 09. Graphics are also different, and it seems they have tweaked the FI mapping a bit because I am getting more top end than people with 08's from what I have seen.

id bet its because you weigh less.... weight is a big deal with the lil 250, much over 180 slows it down a bit im sure.
