Oil Drain Hole Stripped

I am a new member and just bought a 2008 wr250x last week. The oil was really dark so decided to change it and ended up stripping the oil drain hole, now the bolt just spins.  I didn't even get a chance to ride the bike....  

I saw this oversize M12-1.50 bolt on amazon but not sure whether this will fix the drain hole. Please share if you have experienced this issue.

I've experienced this issue with a spark plug hole on an air cooled VW, and we were able to install a Heli-Coil without removing the head. It should work just as well for the drain plug hole on the bike. I would flush some oil through it after the repair, and probably change the oil again soon too.

Go to youtube and search. This isnt a model specific problem, so theres plenty of help outthere from other riders and drivers.
Some of the options:

Helicoil
Timesert
Oversized drainplugs

Whatever you do, make sure to use a new washer, and just snug the bolt up. Theres no load on it, and it just needs to hold itself, and slightly crush the washer to seal. My Xt600 is at 177.000km with over 40 oilchanges, without stripped oil drain/filter-bolts

Installed time-sert and looks like its holding.
