so who knows if the 2010 plastics will fit on an 08-09 ????

just wondering if anyones made the switch to the 2010 plastics yet? can it be done to the 08-09'S?

if so please let us know if anything had to be moddified in anyway? people are saying that the only differences from the 09 as compared to the 10's are a few mechanical issues... i havent heard anything about the boddies yet?

called yamaha earlier today and they are showing that the plastics ARE available however show a different part number, which im assuming due to the fact that they are new color. so do they fit?

prices i was given for the 2010 plastics were:

front fender- 35
rear fender- 30
side covers- 75 each

i didnt bother pricing the rest because they are already white and i plan on running an acerbis headlight.

The part numbers are different only because of the color. The last 2 digits of the part number is the color code. The rest of the part number should be the same as the old plastics. I do not know for a fact, but I would guess all the plastics should fit any year from '08-'10. The bike's body itself has not changed since '08.

yea ive been comparing the 2010's vs the 2008's in pictures and im not seeing any difference.

same plastics, just different color. going to be painting my plastics white this week. :)

yep they will fit. 2010, 2009, 2008 plastic are all interchangeable.
front shrouds do not come with the yamaha stickers on them. they actually charge like 100 per sticker, more than the plastic itself. pretty insaine, considering the sticker cost about a dollar to make.

So - has anyone actual bought the 2010 white plastic ??

I searched a bunch of the big On-Line Yamaha OEM parts sites - while they list some 2010 models, the WR isn't on the list yet ...

I know of people who have, I personally have not.

i bought some early this week and for anyones who interested ill be maknig a build thread and let you guys know how everything fits however i only bought front and rear fender and both radiator shrouds... i plan on running a acerbis headlight and i figured since the side plastics were already white then they didnt need to be reaplced. ill keep everyone posted, my question is why arent other people doing this i think the white looks 100 times better than the blue imo.

I did it to mine, except I made mine all black, I bought every black piece, even all the heat shield tape, foam, etc etc.
