Looks fun......But I tend to stay away from anywhere it gets cold enough, for long enough to get a pond frozen enough to play that way.
But very fun looking indeed.

How'd you go about studding your tires? I'm interested in doing it myself, but don't want to spend all the money

I agree that winter kinda sucks and cold weather kinda sucks, but a day on the ice like that one is fantastic.
I would probably rate it higher than a supermoto track night for how much fun it is.

You cannot back it in, or push a corner or acceleration slide out from an apex like this in asphalt.

it is a good time!

As for my tires,
my tires are "proffessionally built" by a local around here, they are 5 or 6 years old and houred out for "emdurance race standard" but They work great for me, I raced on 10 year old tires last year in endurance and placed pretty good. I think it's the WR"s low power output, won't "out power" the tires traction.

there are MANY ways of building tires, my tires have 1 1/2" screws, two street tire carcasses in the knobby and around 1000 screws front to back.

Guess it depends on what you want out of your tire and how you want to build 'em.

luv ice,the kenda k335 will take a 5/8 screw without a liner. they work good on a wr250 r/x as we dont have a big hp#

http://www.frpoffroad.com/browse.htm?shopBy=-4349&catalogId=-1039 we race these, they are worth the price. if you always cover the tires they will last 5-6 years
