Hi from Fresno Calif.

Just bought a 2011 R model. I was looking for a bike to replace my 09 KLR 650. I had no luck at all using the KLR on tougher trails. So far I am very impressed.
I took it to a off road State park (Hollister Hills) and actually had fun. So much easier to ride.
I might even try Death Valley again next year with a group that goes every year.

There's some other WRR pilots in your general area. Between here and ADV's monster thread, it won't be that hard to hook up with them.
