Engine Identification

Hey all,

Minnesota DMV needs my "Engine Number" off the engine, not VIN number when transfering titles. I was trying to search/ read online and on an R6 forum they said it was on the rear of the motor looking through the rear chassi. I found a number back there Y2830022... would that be it? not sure what i'm looking for exactly. It was displayed on what appeared both halves of the case (lucky for me as its starting to pitt)

Look just below the shift pedal, stamped into the crankcase.
The 5th pic down in this thread shows the location clearly:

10-4 I see it now!!! DUH! I guess I've never had to get on the ground to look at anything yet lol. Or crashed haha cheers
