3.5-17 IRC GP-1 tires

Has anybody tried the 3.5-17 GP-1 tire for the front instead of the 4.6-17 we need to use in the Kenda 270 and Shinko 244 with the same tread pattern?

I've got the 4.6. Haven't seen anyone talk of running the 3.5. I'd check the manufacturers' sites for rim width recommendations.
