First of all how much does a 6-er of this cost? I'm betting that being brewed on a full lunar moon crap added $4....but I have to say that wouldn't matter after a saw that label starring me in the face.

Once again I've returned to the Wychwood Craft Beers. This time I'm partaking the very fine "King Goblin". They say its brewed only on a Full Lunar Moon. With its full body and yet very soft notes I'm finding this too is an extremely drinkable beer. I started out with a half a glass.... going back for more, went down smooooth. Reminds me of some of the Barley Wine beers... but.. well, ...definitely not an American brew. Highly, highly recommend this one. Yes, that good.

I'm only 25 and I have to say that my favorite beer is an open one, but I've started branching out of hometown brewed Miller products.

Right now My favorite - Fat Tire (Amber Ale) by New Belgium Brewing. Just getting up to get another! dutch

This was a huge surprise to me. I expected it to be very dark and taste like a stout. It actually tasted more like a hefeweissen and as you can see is not any darker than one either. Imagine a Blue Moon, unfiltered, and with 3 times the alcohol. It also only comes in 750ml (wine) bottles so be prepared for a hangover or invite a friend.

Wow. Get this and try it if you can. It's dessert and beer in one bottle.

The most intense Chocolate stout I've ever had.

Have it at night. After dinner. As a way to work yourself towards bedtime in a very Zen-like manner.

Take your time. This isn't a beer for slammin' down and getting 4 more in before you head out to a bar.

Enjoy this like a very fine wine. Slowly and deliberately.

It's really an experience.

Happy Holidays freaky dutch

Backpacking in Glacier National Park last September. Packed a few of these in a cooler and left them in the van for when we came out. Five days of dehydrated food and no booze made this beer pretty special.

Just tapped the first 5 gallons of my second batch of homebrew tonight (ignore the foam... the first few pints are always foamy)

http://www.cnn.com/2013/05/06/travel/usa-beer-towns/index.html?iref=allsearch <--- clicky

Quote :
CNN) -- The history of beer in the United States is a rich one dating back to the colonies, when soldiers were paid in spruce beer and cider. From there beer weathered a Revolution, Prohibition and a right turn at Albuquerque before positively exploding with deregulation of the industry through the early 1980s.

Ever since, Americans have been sampling, celebrating and sophisticating the unofficial national beverage in ways previously unimaginable, and it seems nearly every town's gotten into the act.

But not all cities are carbonated equal. Some have begun to take beer personally, innovating its craft and consumption and throwing festivals to honor the finest ales and lagers -- creating a blueprint for the rest of the country to follow. Still others have been doing this all along.

This is the story of those towns, the top eight cities in America for beer explorers.
