mt21 vs 606 in front

I just read on the adv forum that the dunlop 606 in the front had a wiggle / shimmy at 65mpg, anyone notice this? He said switching out to a mt21 cured it.... anyone have experience with this? Rear 606 was good.

I never had any wiggles with my D606 fronts, nor really any other knobby front tire... or maybe I'm just numb to it. Well, to be fair the non DOT IRC VE-39 I ran for a few thousand miles walked around a bit at speed, but nothing bad enough to ever cause concern. Speed wobbles are as much setup as tire.

I did find that the D606 front didn't wear all that well and would cup fairly badly in as little as 2000-3000 miles, or about half of what I got out of a rear. YMMV... Only ridden an MT21 front once, and briefly, and liked it well enough to be willing to try it as an alternative to the D606 front.

Good point....I have noticed a slight wobble with the TW but it may be because of the set up. I installed a Yama link, left the rear shock adjustment as it was from the factory, lowered the front to 10mm. I'm still tippy toed but it's better. Maybe I need to revisit this set up. To jump up on the interstate for 2 or 3 miles to get over the river from ky to southern Illinois. I ride for that short time I'm WO though, lots of traffic moving 70 80 mph wobbles freak me out.

Whats a good alround pressure to run the 606's? Pavement gravel roads about 60/40.

I've burned through two mt 21's on the front and am now running a D606, no difference as far as wobble goes, but the mt 21 wears down a lot faster. Neither one wobbles before 75mph or so and it all depends on the road conditions from my experiences.

My dealer air em up to 28psi...thats way to much i think....maybe 20 psi?

15-17psi on the front and 15-25psi for the rear seemed to be my magic numbers.
