swapping to motard wheelset

I found a good deal for a motard wheelset coming off a drz, im wondering if anyone here has the dimensions of the wr hub and drz hub and axle, such that i can do a comparison to see if it fits.

Or has anyone actually fitted a wheelset from another bike to a wr250r?

Depending where the rotor and sprocket are in relation to the hubs would be a potenial issue. You could make spacers to fill the gap easy, but if the offset of the rotor/sprocket is different there is not much you could do unless you started machining the hubs etc to get the correct relationship but then a good deal becomes not such a good deal. Playing with the spacing to align the rotor on the front for example could cause the front tire to sit off center to the forks.

It was a pretty easy mod to fit the DRZ wheelset onto the WRR. Total cost for this project was SGD 1,200 with assistance from my mech.

These are the following mods needed
1) Fabrication of the shaft in the DRZ Talon hub

2) As the width of the rear drz hub is smaller than the WRR hub, additional aluminium spacer is needed so that the WRR spocket can be fitted on


3) Spacers for both the front and rear wheel


In addition, the fork guard needed to be trimmed and relocation of the front brake lines to the outside of the fork to accomodate the wider front wheel..
