14t and loose chain equals

anybody have this happen? i went to change the front sprocket to 13t, and found it like this. Atleast it sheared off flush, no hole in the case.

The chain wasnt loose enough to cause this i thought lol

This happened on the X or R? If youre in houston, there is a supermoto group that rides every now and then on Motohouston.

on the r, stepped up to 12/48 gearing for the big d606s. Group ride sounds fun, i never ride with anyone.
