Do I need a top end rebuild? Empty
PostSubject: Do I need a top end rebuild?   Do I need a top end rebuild? EmptySat Jun 21, 2014 11:50 pm

Hi all
I have a 2008 WRR with 10k kms on it. The first 7 of which where commuting and the last 3 mainly off road.
The bike starts and runs very well and has never let me down. As it's got to 10k I thought I would do a compression test and the results are a little worrying.
The service manual states compression should be around 115 psi. Well I have 75psi dry and 115psi wet indicating that the rings are well worn out.
Just thought I would get some comments as to if I need the have the rings done, if the compression test is sus as the bike runs really well and general consensus.
The bike fully modified with air box, FMF full exhaust, programmer.

Cheers Jon
