coolant temperature light

The coolant temperature light is on constantly. Moment I turn the key its on and stays on never goes off even when motor is cold. Faulty sensor or what? Bike runs great im not sure what the issue is. Thanks

I'd start by unplugging the sender, if the light goes out, replace it. If it doesn't, go fish
