I'm looking for input for a good fuse block and mounting location. My immediate needs are for GPS, Heated Jacket, ASE for Air pump. this list will probably grow some.

Thanks in advance for any and all advice.

Check out eastern beaver. I used the three circuit solution but I believe there is an 8 circuit fuse panel as well. Mounted it where the flapper used to be by the air flapper.

Some great suggestions so far. I can see using either one of those units.

Any other suggestions?

What determines if you need a "relay" or not?

the relay is for switched fuse blocks. Only works when the bike is running.

Pardon my lack of knowledge but both of the fuse blocks I looked at have switched circuits. One included a relay and one offered the relay as an add on. That indicated to me that some switched circuits need a relay and some do not. I'm still confused about what circumstances call for the relay and which do not. scratch

so, I may be wrong (wouldn't be the first time) but my understanding is that if you hook up to a switched wire like your brake lights than it will only run juice when the bikes on. With a switched relay you have a wire that connects to the brake light wire but does not pull power from it. That just flips the relay so the power will flow. The relay connects directly to your battery and then splits the power to some number of fuses on the block.

The Eastern Beaver guy is a WRR owner and can sometimes be found here. I chatted with him on Facebook when I had some installation problems. Real patient and knowledgeable. Although I would say if you use him as a resource you should probably buy his stuff. And no, we are not associated in any way other than I have his products on both my bikes.

That turns out to be convenient since I was leaning the way of Eastern Beaver anyway. Do you happen to know his handle that I might pm him?

Thanks for the help,
Gary
