Hi all have a new 2015 Wr after selling my previous 2008 Wr 5 years ago. Great to see very little has changed although my throttle response from zero is terrible, although I am yet to do 100klms on the bike yet

I never recalled my old bike being so on off as this one. Starting and stopping is no issue but if I want to go very slow either on the road or some technical tight bush single track it just doesn't want to play ball

Is this common?

It should get a bit smoother after it breaks in, motors don't run quite right when new and tight.

Its also common, search for tps adjustments to find the cure if it doesn't get better after a few hundred more kms.

My new '14 WRR was the same...real twitchy in first. I fitted a full exhaust + fuel programmer after breaking it in & its a lot smoother now. Not sure if it was the programmer, or the miles or a combo of both, but all is good now.

Changed my CO from 1 to 14 and it's made a nice improvement - still there but better

And only 120k's on the clock but working on it

I've done the TPS and CO adjustments and the final was to adjust my throttle cable to minimal freeplay. All three of these adjustments, combined, smoothed out the throttle.
