Error code 13

Yesterday, when I rode my bike, it shut down when I pulled the clutch in. I didn't start it a while, but when I turned it on, I saw 13 on the speedometer. I searched for it on Google, but I couldn't find a solution.

From the service manual:

Fault code 13: Intake air pressure sensor-open or short circuit detected.

Probable cause of malfunction:
- Open or short circuit in wire harness.
- Defective intake air pressure sensor.
- Malfunction in ECU.

Can l fix it, and how? I checked the wiring of the sensor, it looks fine. What should I do?

The service manual has instructions how to check the sensor, but the instructions are too complicated for me to copy here.

You might be able to find an electronic copy of the 364 page manual online somewhere. I know it's protected by copyright so links to pirated versions aren't listed here in this forum. (I purchased a paper hard copy from Yamaha.)

Otherwise you may need to take the bike to a Yamaha dealer.
