Relay issues with new LED rear signals stock fronts

I have recently installed the DRC edge fender eliminator, and some DRC LED turn signals in the rear. I wanted to leave the front stock as I like having running lights and the signals are very brignt.

I wired everything into the stock relay and it worked fine. Then I installed the DRC IC relay, which claims to work with any configuration. Now the front signals are so dim, you can hardly tell the difference between running lights and signal lights.

When I reinstalled the stock relay, nothing flashed. Somehow the relay was damaged or broke in the 20 mins I took to swap it for the DRC IC relay. I am extremely frustrated that the system worked fine and I chose to install a part I didnt need... only to have it mess everything up despite claiming to be compatible with all configurations and light choices

Help! I don't want to have to buy more stuff (front LED signals, 12oClock labs running lights chip) just to make the crap I already bought work properly....

Could be that the new relay being for leds is limiting the extra juice needed for stock halogens. Try ordering some 7440 or 7443 led replacement bulbs on ebay or amazon to place in your stock front blinkers. Thess are direct bulb replacements that will be happier with your new relay... I think. Best to go all LED or all standard bulbs on a given relay. Btw, the bulbs I mentioned are like $3-5 each.

I'll be ordering a DRC with a chip. And wasn't sure about a front solution.
I've got nice slim flexible enduro front indicators and couldn't find an LED replacement.

I never knew about those 7440/3 globes.

I would just open up the front indicators you have, pull a bulb, and look for the number (in case yours are different). Then hop online and search for that number + "led" and you will see tons of direct replacements. My bulb said 7440 zero on it, and quick search pulled back gobs of choices for direct LED replacements.

I've done this for my WR, and also with my F250. Good luck!
