| So, I'm in the checking out line at the grocery a while back, ready to loose my mind, while the lady in front of me was arguing with the cashier over the meaning of "organic", and why they don't take checks... GAAAAHHHH,AAH! darned hipsters! With time to kill, the lady behind me in line asked about my helmet and if I'd ever owned a BT communicator. She was the controller/accountant at UCLEAR, which I learned is located 10 minutes from my house. Super nice lady, she encouraged me to check out their product, stop by their office, and handed me a $25 gift card. I have one attached to my helmet now. I love it! I can't speak from experience about other brands, but this one works very well, calls and music sound great, and the people at the UCLEAR office were a very nice bunch of folks. Most of them ride too. My daily commute is sooo much more enjoyable now. Me rikey. | |

| I bought three of the Sena 20S communicators for my wife, myself and daughter so we can all talk while we ride off road. Best decision ever. Wish I had bought them when my daughter was first starting out so I could talk her through learning to ride off road inside her helmet instead of yelling advice from the side of the track. | |

| Nice! That would be great with the kids.. I can't even afford one 20S, let alone three - I bought a chinese knockoff from amazon that works nicely though. Only $60 and hasn't failed so far - I suspect the sound quality is highly superior in the Sena models. | |

| The sound quality is excellent, and you can use voice commands for GPS and phone and ipod, etc. They are very good. They are $$$ for sure, but how much did I spend on all those toys and trailer...? :) | |

| Hi,
I am new the the Helmet Comms, I am wondering if these use a closed circuit or you have to speak through your phone via bluetooth?
I am interested in investing in some like this for myself and my friend who frequently stop to discuss directions lol.

You can make and accept phone calls, but the units also direct connect to each other, so you are talking without the phone being needed. You can be off grid and still talking to your riding buddy. The better ones let you share music and group link... all kinds of stuff. Cardo, sena, and uclear are the top brands out there- im partial to uclear myself.
