Slowly adventurising my R.

Found this on eBay only a few $ delivered. Meant to be IP rated and seems ok.
Hunting for a temp gauge of sorts that's a similar size. and I'll also put a couple of switches for spots etc on my 'dash' (I'm running a HDB fairing)

Plan is this will charge my battery pack, then I'll use that to charge my phone of a night time.

Next big job will be moving the key to a more useable spot. And working out a nice mount for my etrex. Ram is nice but close to 50% or the price of the GPS which seems like madness to me.

Reads 14.4 all through rev range.

And 12.8 on a cold morning. (4c)
And 13.3 mid afternoon.

How does that compare to others?

Does anyone know the lowest voltage the wrr will turn over at? And has anyone had luck push starting with a flat battery or should I be shopping for a mini jumper pack?

I killed my battery with a phone charger just sitting there doing nothing (no phone installed). I jumped it with my Jeep once I realized it would take half a day on my trickle charger to get it back up to full. I didn't have to resort to push starting but I've heard it's not too hard to do. I've push started a car myself, so a bike must be easier.

I push started the WR several times. No problems. It just needs enough juice in the battery for the fuel pump and ecu.

USB ports have a parasitic drain. Id run that through a relay for switched power.

Voltages sound ok? What battery are you using?

Key access etc with the HDB setup is problematic. I sent a bunch of parts (triples, key barrel, speedo) to HDB for development but haven't heard anything back. Seems at a minimum it can be easiest to cut the edges off the key to allow it to fit easier. I tried a couple of options, none of which were ideal, including mounting the key barrel off the HDB top clamp. It's a big barrel!
