| I got some electrical gremlins in 2009 WR. Midway through today's ride, I noticed that both front turn signals were constantly on. I pulled over to inspect. Headlight and rear turn signals not working at all. Front turn signals constantly on. Brake and tail light working normally. Switches have no effect. This is with the engine running. Pre-ride check indicated that all lights working normally, and have been so for the last year. When I got home I checked the headlight bulb and it looked good. All connections look intact. Couldn't find any fuses other that the two on the starter relay, which look good. Thoughts? | |

| Fuses are behind the little black plasticcover, where the left side radiator would have been if there was one. Hope that makes sence, it should be covered in your manual. | |

How did you check the headlight bulb? Visual inspection or a continuity test? Front signals should constantly be on when the ignition is on - rear turn signals should be off. When you hit the turn signal switch for say a lh turn the fronts and rear should flash on and off. are they not doing this? Remember, the headlight will not come on (US models) until after the engine is running. If you shut the bike off with the kill switch the headlight will remain on and go off when you turn the key to off.

| The problems I reported are with the engine running.
I checked the fuses on the left side of the the bike and the 15a fuse on the far right was blown. I replaced it with the spare in the fuse box and started the engine. The headlight came on as normal. As soon as I hit the turn signal switch to test the turn signals, the headlight went off again, and the turn signals would not work. I checked, and the fuse I had just put in was blown. Something is blowing that fuse. What might it be?

Something is blowing that fuse. What might it be? Is the bike stock or does it have aftermarket turn signals? If it has aftermarket signals check the wiring and connections to those signals. Check the flasher relay. If it isn't those two then I would start inspecting the wiring to make sure nothing has gotten pinched or eaten by rodents (for some reason they like certain types of wire insulation).
