New Member in Mexico

Hello All,

I've just joined the forum after buying a 2008 WRR.  I put 30,000 miles on an XT660Z Tenere around South America, loved the bike but yearned for something lighter - hence the choice of a WRR.  

Intending to modify one to turn it into a 'mini Tenere' for overlanding, I was very lucky to find one which already had many of the mods I was planning to do. I'm looking forward to refining it further and hoping to find plenty of info and advice on the forum to help me create the perfect lightweight adventure bike!

Hello and welcome. I have found this forum to be very helpful to me... lots of good people on here. Did you buy your WRR in Mexico?? Just curious. It's on my bucket list to ride the Baja area of Mexico.

Hi Jason.  The WRR isn't sold in Mexico from what I can tell.  I bought mine in Texas and rode it down.  (A chance to prove that it can handle long highway rides, contrary to the view of the 1200 'adventure bike' riders!)
