in 2012 I bought a 2010 with 90 miles on it, put a lot of money into it and sold it to my son who still owns it. Since then...BMW 650 XChallenge, Husky 650 Terra and finally a KTM 950 Super Enduro that I just sold. After wrestling with a 400+ pound dirt bike, I'm drawn back to the WR250R. Yes, I will miss the power but am looking forward to the feel of the smaller bike.

Picking a 2013 up tomorrow with 1200 miles on it, never been off road. Will likely choose to have the suspension worked this time. The last one had a Britannia fairing along with the more typical mods. The process of modifying a bike is a big part of ownership enjoyment for me.

Well it didn't take long to get back in the swing of things. The bike brings on a different mind set, makes you happy just doing 60 mph.
The following items have been ordered:
-4.7 gal tank
-Seat Concepts seat foam and cover
-Tusk top rack
-Garmin rugged mount
-Tusk 30mm bar risers
-HDB hand guards
-Flatland skid plate
-Britannia fairing
-Oil Filters
-Magnetic oil drain plug

Thinking about these:
-Heated grips...I'll stick with what I'm familiar with, Symtec, before next cold season
-Foot pegs...not much there, and will bend easy
-Side racks...or just go with my Coyote bag instead
-Radiator guard...only for front impacts, the tank will protect from side hits
-Mirrors...stock seem so fragile
