Fuel controller - next top mod?

Hi all, new '08 WR250X owner here. I've loved the bike so far for commuting, canyons, tame single track, etc!

It came with a few typical mods - Leo Vince X3 exhaust, Shinko 244 knobbies, DRC back tidy kit, EXUP/AIS removed. I've since added a 47t back sprocket/gold x chain/SpeedoDRD and a few small additions.

I've been waiting to do the airbox mod until I get a fuel controller, since I've heard the bike already runs lean, and with the aftermarket exhaust it runs even leaner, which I can definitely feel.

Would you guys agree that a fuel controller, like EJK from Dobeck Performance, would be the next top mod for my bike?

*Note I'm also saving my pennies to have my shocks reworked in the near future : ). I know that is likely the next best mod of all!

Exhaust will be my last mod on my WRR because of this as well. I did the basic flapper mod but have yet to do the AIS removal. I will wait till I can swing the exhaust, programmer, EXUP, and AIS in one go at it.

Thanks did the reply, guys! Sounds like I'm making a good next move with the fuel controller. Do you think I've done damage to my motor running it with the new exhaust and EXUP//AIs removed - motor running too lean? Like I mentioned, I haven't done the airbox mod yet, so that helps, I think.

Get a Dynojet. More expensive, but unlimited tuning and programming that can add AND reduce fuel, ejk and fmf can only add fuel. Dynojet can also adjust ignition timing for more bottom and top end
