Hello from southern Ontario

Hello. Back into the world motorcycling after selling my last bike eight years ago, a drz400. Have owned several bikes over the years that were either sport or dirt, mostly Yamaha.
I found a new 2016 and had to have it. While waiting for the weather to get a bit better I have decided to make the skid plate that I have read about on this site. If it didn't work no big deal $9.00 wasn't going to kill me but I think I did a pretty good job of it. Will post a few pics in couple of days.
Looking forward to learning and picking up more tips and tricks from the people on this site and I will try to share whatever I can.

Hello Shadow. I live in the Stratford area but the majority of my riding will be around the Bancroft area. No snow here now just waiting for the rest of it to leave Bancroft. I see I travel through your neck of the woods quite a bit throughout the summer.

Yeah, you would be going right past me on your way to Bancroft. There's lots of nice roads up there for the streetbike, but I have never ridden trails up there. (except snowmobile trails in the winter)

The Kawarthas and The Haliburton Highlands are way too cool for riding too. Welcome from the Kawarthas.

We own property in Haliburton close to many trails and dirt roads. Can't wait for the spring to warm things up a bit. FJROB, being from the area you must know quite a few good trails. Any info on organized group rides throughout the summer?  Let's see if I can get a pic up. Nothing special yet save for the home made skid plate.
