| Hey everyone, I'm about to send in my forks and shock to Travis at Go-Race in Virginia. I'm getting the Full Monte done cause I started doing some light MX track stuff and a LOT of hair scrambler/trail riding.
My youtube account is.....https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCXEuVGvIhOkRwbGr-XbAe4w
You can see a bunch of videos I have put up.
word of advice, I don't care about anything negative anyone has to say, (advice is a different story) I try to stay off of social media, I turned off all commenting and thumbs up/down. I am putting up videos for myself and I decided to make them public so it was easier to show them to people. I would appreciate it if you kept the bashing and whatnot to yourselves. If you don't want to watch them, then don't.
I rode a few weeks at the trails until I put new tires on and OMG the factory tires SUCK!
I will let you guys/gals know how it goes.

| I wish the suspension on my WR250 worked better. |

| Go Race did a good job on my and a riding buddy's WR250R. We had to tweak rebound just a tad on the rear for our use and the front is working well on Travis' recommended settings.
He also did a nice job with the rear suspension on my CBR600F4 and my buddy's R1 shock (adapted to an FZ1).
I've had a fair amount of suspension work done and as far as upgrading stock suspension goes Travis is the best.
You still won't mistake the WR for a KTM but with the Go Race upgrade it's close.

| I spent a month or more researching everything I could find on the stock shock. Compiled a list of common issues and fixes. Changed the compression and rebound shim stacks, upgraded the bladder, added a Schrader valve and quality shock oil. Aired up with 78% Nitrogen, 21% Oxygen and 1% other gases. No special tools and it was very easy to disassemble, modify and reassemble this shock. Very happy with the results. I set both rebound and compression clickers in the middle and I'm probably not going to need more than a few clicks to dial it in. The rear end doesn't try to punt me over the bars anymore. I talked to a few "experts" that said this was not possible without their special super duper proprietary valve stacks. I've been a mechanical engineer for over 40 years so I like it when someone says "you can't do that". | |

| Awesome! Did you note what you changed in the shimstacks? Did you buy a new bladder from some of the suspensionshops? | |

| This is what I did to the shock. I am happy for now, but may tune the shims some more later. Deleted content not appropriate for this thread.

Sorry we hijacked your thread bud... That said, if your worried about keeping the forum organized for others, you should post this in suspension where it belongs, while your at it instead of starting your own thread add to one of the many that are already there about the go race suspension.... Sorry if I'm being a dick, it's just my nature, and I just lost the shim info ezrdr55 had posted... Wishing I copied it now...

No apology needed, and you are correct, I don't even remember where i posted this thread. But I know that if this would have continued even into my short reviews and such and then it would have happened...... the "so you spent 1,100$ on something that the other guy did for 300$" And I don't need that kind of negativity. I do all my own work EXCEPT bottom end motor builds, and suspension. Because those are the two things that people have careers doing and still learn new things and mess up things. You're not being a dick, i don't think lol. You can't read tone in text so no sweat. And for @ezrdr55 he didn't need to delete, I didn't ask him to at all. This is the internet, I can't stop anyone from saying anything LOL

| Thanks for the thread and updates. I talked to Travis yesterday about doing my suspension, close to pulling the trigger. Information like this from other riders is valuable. | |

| I don't think anyone would bash you for going through go race for suspension upgrades.... Have you been able to test it out yet? | |

Naw, I just got back from vacation, I have it all back together, just need to slap the wheels on it. I might go riding this weekend. Just been real busy.
