New Member, Old Bike

Hello All,

A while ago my old neighbor gifted his 2002 WR250FP to me. It didn't run and he didn't feel like moving or fixing it. I asked him where I should start to get it running and he had no advice.

Would like to get the bike street legal & off-road worthy for beat up forest service roads and single tracks to get back to my favorite fishing holes with out beating up my pickup truck.

Any advice on where to start? battery/plugs I assume...

Any threads of a similar topic that could get me going?

I'm in Jackson, WY FYI. Also, I've done a lot of automotive mechanical work but never worked on a bike before. Plan on doing all this myself.

You need to get to the right website, this is for the R and X models, which are totally different animals
