What kind of mileage are you getting out of a 606? I'm not getting much out of the tire choices I've made
I ran the 606 and MT21 for my New Mexico BDR trip this year and got 60+ mpg. Considering the bike was loaded for camping and I'm not a small guy I was impressed. I still plan to look for something else when I replace the 606. The price just keeps going up and I'd like to try a tread like the Maxxis M7320.

I got 6000km from my rear 606 and 5000km from the front. I now run a 605 front and rear, it's a 50/50 tire and have 8000km on the rear and 7000km on the front.

I use the D606 rear on my work WRR. I have got about 12,000 km out of them on average. Bear in mind we run them really low treadwise, and they are used entirely on dirt, often at low speed. Bloody good tyre, I think. I did try a Pirelli MT-43, which I entirely loved for its traction and projected life, cut short by a rock cut in the sidewall. However it was really high in said sidewall and slightly altered gearing and seat height. Went back to D606.

I run both front and rear D606. Loving them so far. Running a 5.10 size for the rear.
I bought my rear D606 at 4WO|bike& truck parts. I'm running MT21 on the front. This combo handles the pavement really well.

I am one of those who thought that the stock TrailWings, even with 700-1,000 miles on them, were actually pretty good on all the trails that we have around us and were really nice and smooth on the roads. I almost considered getting another set of them or tires that were similar but had realized that having knobbier tires for when we do get on the trails was the wiser thing to do.
I had been reading about D606's for quite a long time. My dual sport buddy had also been using the D606 for his rear and was on his second rear D606. Motoz did not make a Tractionator H/T in the 120/80(or 90) 18 for the rear so I decided to try the D606 for both the front and rear in the stock sizes and I am impressed so far with them. They definitely vibrate a bit more than the TrailWings, but what else did I expect with a much more aggressive tire?, but off road, especially on wet, slick grass, they stick every bit as good as the Motoz. Even with all the road riding we have to do, they seem to be wearing very well and are hardly wearing at all.
Time will tell if I'll get another set/rear tire once it wears out but so far, so good.
I got a chance, the past few days, to ride after a good 2" of rain fell on Sunday so the trails have had the most water, mud and even streams running down them, than I have seen in the past 5 years. The D606 F/R, with less than 1,000 miles, performed admirably. They just plain work and chug through the toughest mud and up the gnarliest steep, rocky/muddy trails. I'm now a believer in the tires and they are even wearing very well despite the road miles to get to the trails.

I've now got around 3,000 miles on the D606's and they have been nothing short of excellent. I have had all the off road traction I have needed in every situation I have put the bike in have had no problems while riding on the streets. As great as the D606 is, I have a new set of 90/90 21 and 120/80 18 Tusk DSport tires ready to put on once I get one or two more dual sport rides on this WR250R. Why?
The price. I got a new set of the Tusk DSports for $125, shipped. For the price of one rear D606, I got a front Tusk for free. That and my buddy that got a new set for his new, 2022 DRZ400, and all the favorable online reviews, I have to find out for myself if the juice is worth the squeeze.

The D606's came off today. They were some very impressive tires. I got almost 4,000 miles out of them.
The strange thing is that the front actually wore faster than the rear. Normally, with every other tire combination, I will go through two, maybe three rear tires to every single front tire but not these D606's. Some of the knobs on the front were almost worn down to the carcass while the rear might have had some life left in it for others, between the mud after rainstorms and steeper hills, once the traction is no longer where I feel that I need it, the tire(s) have to go.
I have replaced the D606's with the Tusk Dsport Adventures. At right around half the price of a set of the D606's, I have to see if I can get another 3-4,000 miles along with equal/better traction as the D606's.
