Hi There,
Converting a WR250X to the R and am looking at tyres.  Looking for 60/40 offroad/road use.
Usual suspects seem to be MT21/D606 combo any other ideas?
I was thinking Michelin T63 but now discontinued here in the UK.
Any thoughts on Mitas?  New Michelin Tracker.
I'll be looking to ride on the European TET so there will be a fair bit of tarmac but mainly off road.
Also, what's the best way to go re sprockets?  Thinking 14/47 to avoid chain guard wear, what chain would be the best length?
Thanks

Isn't 14/47 (3.35) pretty close to stock gearing? 13/43=3.30
But then I don't know what your off road conditions will be like.
I'm happy with 14/50=3.57, 114 links.
Wish T63's were still around, used them on a couple of DS bikes in the past.

Hi There,

Thanks for the reply.

I've been reading the 14/47 is indeed similar to stock but prevents the chain damaging the swing arm.

I'm running 13/46. Low enough for my offroad, high enough for the high speed roads I sometimes have to hop on.

Swing arm looking alright, I try to keep an eye on it.

Running the 'usual suspects' for tyres.
Agree that the 14 tooth has an advantage over the 13.
