| Hi,
I have a problem with yamaha wr250 2009, the engine has no spark, I measured the stator and it's fine, the fuses are intact, the switch works normally, I suspect the ignition coil because it changes 2.2ohm on the connector from the connector to the spark plug seat 9.6ohm.
PLEASE HELP. I have no ideas.

| Is the ECU throwing a Fault Code?
What are you measuring on the ignition coil, the Primary or Secondary coil resistance? Take a look at page 8-74 to understand the difference between the two. | |

| Primary coil is 2.2ohm and secondary coil 9.6ohm. | |

| Your Primary Coil resistance is out of spec but not alarmingly so, are you sure the Secondary Coil resistance is 9.6 Ohms and not 9.6 kOhms? | |

| So Secondary Coil resistance is within specs.
You stated earlier that there is no spark. Did you carry out Diagnostic Monitoring Code #30 (Page 8-39) to determine that? | |

| No, I don't know what's wrong, and even if I were there I wouldn't be able to tell you what's wrong without running some tests.
So back to troubleshooting: if you didn't run Diagnostic test #30, how did you arrive at the conclusion that there is no spark? | |

| i tried and there is no spark, the stator is working normally, the fuses are intact, what could be then | |

| What exactly did you try that made you conclude that there is no spark from the spark plug? | |

| I took the spark plug out and when I leaned against the ground and started it, there was no spark, the main plus is the ignition coil but I don't know if it goes on, please help quickly | |

| If you're certain that there is no spark, then you need to start replacing components: try a new spark plug, if that doesn't work, try a new coil, and if that doesn't work either continue up the electrical chain. This process of elimination works, but it is slow and might cost a lot before you find the source of the problem. If you want quick results, then a repair shop is the only solution. | |
