Stator recall and Speeco showing 3 X more issue

Hey Folks,
I have a 2009 WR250X that I’ve put WR250R wheels and running dual sport. Recently my battery died, and I replace it and then noticed that my ODO was reading 3 X more. Researched and found it maybe related to the stator draining out the battery and messing up the instrument cluster. I am getting my stator replaced as part of the Yamaha recall at the Yamaha dealership…however I don’t think they will replace the instrument cluster.

Question: I am sure some of you have been in this scenario, and replacing the stator would not fix your messed up odo reading? What do you do? Do you buy a new one? Appreciate the feedback and how you got around to fixing this issue.
