| [img][/img]Just bought an used 08 RR 4 days ago. At this point I am still married "the wife seems a little jealous though. Any way coming home tonight in the great northwet. I could not find the heater switch. headlight works great but the AC is stuck on full bore. Checked the manual when I got home after a brisk forty mile night ride. To my surprise, no heater mentioned at all. Hmmm. | |

| You have to lean forward a bit and lean your knees just right to deflect the precious warm breeze that blows up from the front. _________________ A wolf's voice echoed down the mountain 'Share the bounty of the hunt with your brothers and sisters, and forever be strong and free.' | |

| You guys are gettin what we're still supposed to be gettin. I don't mind no snow here and above freezing temps. I was sick of that 2 weeks after it started. _________________ A wolf's voice echoed down the mountain 'Share the bounty of the hunt with your brothers and sisters, and forever be strong and free.' | |

| Lol, It ain't bad at all here. I'm just dressing warm for the freeway. After I get to where I'm going, strip some of the cloths off, unzip all the jacket zippers, and the temp is just about perfect if not a bit warm. | |

| Since mine didn't come with one either, I had to add the aftermarket Warm & Safe brand heater to my bike. Works like a charm | |

| I put a sun roof in my helmet. Kinda cool but it bleached out the hair under it and I had a square patch of bleached out hair. | |

| I heard those scotch brite pads work great in the calipers. Keeps out those road squids. _________________ A wolf's voice echoed down the mountain 'Share the bounty of the hunt with your brothers and sisters, and forever be strong and free.' | |

| Discovered another quirk with my WR. It is lazy. Yep, lazy. We were going down the customaty mud layden tree root hiding trail when suddenly part way through the mud hole the WR decided it wanted a rest. yep just layed right down. I had to physicaly pick it up and make it go. Thank Gawd it only weighs tree hunerd lbs. "unlike my green and silver bike" So I was able to pick it up and coax it to heading back down the trail. I could tell she was tired though cause she tried to lay down a couple more times. Guess we'll have to work on building up her endurance | |

| Lol. Luckyu I don't have to deal with that sort of stuff....I'm from Queensland in Australia and the lowest temp it will get in the middle of winter is seriously only about 10degrees celcius....Good luck with stuffing around with grip heaters and seat heaters! *evil laugh* I don't think I'd be able to ride in temps like you get over there.... But then again, riding in 40degress celcius + isn't too fun either. | |

Guess we'll have to work on building up her endurance I'm impressed at your analytical and diagnostic abilities. Most people would spend mucho time trying to figure out what they could personally do better to compensate for what is obviously (to you and me at least) a design deficiency in the machine. | |
