It's me again Shog

A lot of people have changed their exhaust systems, and most people got a full system...

I got the Delta full system myself....

From my limited knowledge, I tried to apply WD40 onto the header to prevent any possible "stain"... it worked great for a couple of months... (I did that on my old KTM200, and the belly simply looked awesome wink )

Last Sat, I went for the PCIII installation... and apparently some petrol got to the header without me noticing it...

and now... my precious header has some black spots that look really ugly baldy

Question:

How can I get rid of those spots?

Side note:

What's the material used in FMF powerbomb? freaky

Mark, not sure if you can get CLR where you are in Sing, but that stuff will take off those spots. As for the FMF stuff, I couldn't tell you but I'm sure one of the guys who runs the can would have a good idea. thumb

CLR

It takes all kinds of stains off. Use it on the logging truck exhaust and it removes black drool that's burned on, along with baked on engine oil on the side of the block. thumb

If I'm not mistaken, CLR is Calcium, Lime, Rust remover.

It is. Very happy But you'd be amazed at what that stuff can do to a dirty exhaust and engine. Tried and tested on a 1995 Western Star logging truck.thumb

The PowerBomb is made of stainless steel. Wolfie is right about CLR, it removes a lot of stuff. I have also had luck with (believe it or not) Tiddy Bowl toilet bowl cleaner. It has just enough acid in it to take away some stains. Not sure how it is on stainless steel but it cleans up steel very well. You could also try some old fashion elbow grease and some steel wool.

Beats me. I just know my magnet doesn't stick to it. Maybe an email to FMF would answer that question. Maybe ask them what is best to clean it with while you're at it. They should know more than anyone.

What also works is Cascade automatic dishwasher liquid. That stuff is good for flushing out radiators as well. Also used on the truck. deal
