I looked for the part in their accessories catalog and parts catalog but nothing

I just got off the phone with the Yamaha product specialist and they don't know the part number.

Anyone here know what the part number is?

That's not an engine guard bud, that is the charcoal canister that comes on CA models.

As was stated, it is for the CA models with the canister, but actually is a guard that holds the canister. The plastic is pretty thick and stiff and it will support the bike.

That sounds right about the charcoal canister cover...
It looks like it might work as a skid plate, how far down does it cover?

The height is obvious from the picture. Underneath, it extends up to the drain plug. No protection from the sides thou.

Saw one of these in my local shop today. Pretty much the same as the 2010's -- the mentioned black guard and the pipe guard are different, as is the decal scheme. The pipe guard has a weird silvery sheen to it and looks like it would scratch really easily. Nothing else appears to have changed, but I haven't seen the spec sheet.

I spoke with a Yamaha rep and she said it is a CA only cover for the canister and is $500.+ OUCH!
