Thanks! yeah,I know it does look like the new CRF's a bit.. I'm going to paint the headlight shroud and front fender gloss white as well...it's just that the weather has been soooo nice here lately that it's been almost impossible not to ride! I'll get to it soon enough,hehe..

Do you mean you painted your tail too?

How exactly do all of you prepare the plastics for painting? I am very worried that the paint won't last at all

The white tail looks great Ed. thumb Haven't seen that combination yet. I think it looks good as it is. I wouldn't paint the front white.

MTB: I painted my side covers a long time ago and they are holding up great. The only prep work I did was wash them real good with soapy water and dry them off, then paint. Krylon Fusion paint works good for plastic.

Thanks Mark... I've heard a lot of good things about the Krylon Fusion, and finally there seems to be ONE place that sells it...

I will see what I can do during the weekends wink

I actually have a 2 piece Acerbis EVO front fender(blue/white) that I am going to put on the front,I'm going to pull the stock one off and use that as a template to mark the holes I will have to drill in the Acerbis unit.I have already mocked it up physically, just no cutting or drilling yet... the main problem will be with making sure the headlight sits properly and is totally secured(I jump stuff all of the time,hehe..) and the krylon fusion that I have used has held up better than awesome so far.I took plenty of time and did many, many light/medium coats and a bit of wet sanding with some 400 grit 3M paper to take care of any noticable flaws inbetween coats on the rear fender, but I also painted the rear brake caliper guard gloss black.Make sure on the last coat or touch up that it airs out for 12hrs. if not 24 hrs.I think that's why it has held up for me so well.I appreciate the feedback for sure though!!! This forum is awesome

I think you will have a hard time with the fender...

I have the acerbis supermoto mounted, and I had to hack it to work...

Basically the stock fender is concaved, and you will have to create the groove to let the lower clamp sit in properly... unless you want to use longer bolts and let the fender be supported by them...

Do you have any pics of your fender......I bought the same fender and have a heck of a time getting it installed and actually looking half way decent, I might just end up keeping the stock beak.
