And here's to a happy & fulfilling 2011

Best of the new year to all of you. I rang in the new year with two magazines of 5.56 into the air - cheaper than fireworks, louder, and a hell of a lot more fun.

Now, as it is my birthday, my wish is that you'll all go crack a cold one and think about where you're going on your little blue (or whatever) passport to adventure this year.

And then when you get back, post your adventure here!

Yeah. As a young kid, every New Years used to seem like a war movie scene - muzzle flashes on everybody's porches and back yards. Lots of noise. The only casualty I remember in a couple of decades of doing that was finding out a guy across town had shot his phone line in half when he was shooting up in the air.

Obviously, something had to be done! And so, now you're threatened with jail back where I came from. Think of the children, etc and so forth...

But, Montana is still Montana, and that type of slinking, stinking political correctness hasn't gotten a firm foothold there yet. They're working on it, but they have a long way to go.

I started the new year by getting hit by an errant 5.56 round, seemed like it just came out of nowhere LOL

After spring thaw, one of my first trips will be back to Spring Creek Trail for a WRX redemption! This time, the trail will be defeated instead of my knee! Speaking of which... have I done my tedious freakin' knee exercises yet today? I'll have to catch a set on the way to the fridge for my next beer!

Errant round? I don't fire any "errant rounds".

I was shooting at the Peeping Tom in the bushes outside our bedroom window...
