Perhaps it's just me, but my stock WR light stays on high beam all the time. In two years I've had exactly ONE person flash their lights at me. And my light is slightly high, BTW, because I haven't adjusted it since lowering the back end a bit.
My best guess is that oncoming vehicles are not exactly being blinded by the overwhelming brilliance of the stock bulb on these bikes.
My riding gear is a fluorescent yellow Transitions jacket, with lots of reflective patches on it as does my tank bag. My GL saddlebags are just about as bright a yellow. All of this is the same color the motorcycle cops wear around here while they're running the beam. And I still end up having people left turn me and pull through intersections in front of me.
So when people stop hitting motorcyclists driving the speed limit, with flourescent clothing and reflective patches on, then I'll start worrying about that little bulb in the WR250R.
Again, as far as I'm concerned, when you're on any bike and particularly this little bike, there is no such thing as being TOO visible.
