First test with the Hero. The full footage was over 30 minutes long and way too big to upload. Vimeo is being so flippin slow right now, YouTube finally came up. Lost the cam twice on branches but Tibby was behind me to he got to be my makeshift tether. We decided to take th WOlvie due to the fact that Tibby was on his R1100S and didn't want to ruin the plastics. SO yeah, I managed to cut it down to a manageable size, still got dirty and had fun in the process. Yeah I need to aim the stupid thing up a bit more next time....it looked ok thru the viewfinder but...
Anyway, I give you the test run of the Wolf Cam. I'll toss the Vimeo one on as soon as it decides when to upload at a decent speed.

It is kinda a bummer, but this forum platform does not appear to support HTML content. I have tried and tried and it just doesn't work. Try this link:

I just watched the video and didn't see a WR250R anywhere. 4 wheelers don't count. After all the dirty talk, we want to see you tackle those mud holes on 2 wheels
Even though you cheated, its still a pretty nice vid

Nope. Didn't see one WR in there. Must have missed it I guess.

It's an embarrassed R² on steroids. That's why it's all red.

Is that some new kind of rack and front fender you have on your R²? How come you didn't get the blue one to match the rest of the bike?
Nice vid, but I have a few comments. Besides pointing the cam up more to see the horizon, you should try the volume on HI when you have the cam on your helmet. You can hardly hear anything in this vid. The LO volume setting should be used if you have the cam mounted on the bike because of the vibration, but you can use HI volume on your helmet since your body acts like the shock absorber. Also noticed the audio got real quiet about halfway thorugh, and I can only guess the mud must have covered up the cam enough to block out the sound more than normal.
Keep 'em coming. I like seeing other people get dirty.

Was cool. Yes it should be on the wr. Next time angle it up more.

I'll go thru it on the R² next time. Tibby didn't have his DS with him due to screwing up his ignition and ended up bringing his 1100 Beemer, so we went 2-up on the Wolvie. Still was a hella lotta fun.

Volume? You mean there's volume with these things? I always listen to them with the volume off actually, because I'm usually listening to music whilst surfing. Most videos still make sense.

Sounds like someone needs a Mac
Good to see. Looking forward to more. We haven't been on any off-road yet this season as my wife's little bike decided it wanted a new top end. Got the cam, lifters, rings, etc. on Friday. Sending the head in for some repair work yet, so who knows...
Meanwhile, living vicariously through you folks and being forced to play motard on the street and ride my Ducati. (yeah, ok, I guess I'm not that hard done-by. Back to the vids)

AAH! Another fellow Mac user. Right on dude.
BTW, yes there are two volume settings on the Go Pro. HI and LO. The LO setting is for high vibration mounting situations and HI volume setting is for all the rest. With the cam inside that waterproof case, the audio is rather muffled, so picking the right volume setting makes a difference IF you want to hear anything.

Ok, did another one with the cam a little higher, and volume on hi. Damned wind noise....

Nice twisties! I guess the volume on HI is no good with the wind noise. I would have thought it would be better with the helmet mount, but maybe you ought to try it on LO instead. Wish I had some roads like that around here! Nice ride!

YEAH! Much better on this end. The vid is smooth, but the audio is the same. Guess that's the HI volume setting thing. Maybe aim the cam a little higher up to see more of the scenery and less road would look better too. Good job. Sure would like to ride some roads like that. Florida SUCKS when it comes to twisties. One of the reasons I don't bore you guys with my vids.

Can you tell how fast your were speeding where the wind starts to overrule engine sound? This is what made me wonder with that road video I posted. That was up to 100km/h but wind noise was reduced to some light hauling in background. Engine sound was still clear. Apart from wind noise (both hi and low version) I like that quality and wide angle helmetcam effect. No complaints about vimeo quality from my side. Nice riding. Regards, Phil

It started at around 60 km/h. Not sure why it's doing that, other than maybe the airflow coming out from under the beak of my MX lid?

And there's not much that can be done about the wind blowing past the mic, unless Shewolf can figure out a way of attaching some material over it to muffle the wind.

Have you seen the size of the cam Farg? It's tiny, the best she could do to cut down wind noise is hide it behind some manner of short windshield. I mean she "COULD" try electrical taping over the mic hole (if the cam has one) but then ALL the sound would be muffled.
Sufficed to say, on the street she's gonna have wind noise, but considering she bought this cam for trail rides and mud wind wont really come into effect all that often.
