My buddie and I were cooling off in the stream when a group of noisy girls came canoeing around the bend. They got real quiet when they saw all of our clothes drying in the bushes near our bikes. I can still hear their leader repeatedly say "Keep paddling girls, keep paddling." as they drifted slowly past. There were a lot of smiles and wide eyes. No we didn't stand up. Their voices got loud again as the gained distance with some hooting and hollering. All we could do is sit there an say "did you see that????!!!" and laugh.

I was on a canoe trip once in Vermont. We were a good four hr paddle from the cars when during a pee break I got it caught in my zipper, big time. We couldn't extract the damm thing and had to paddle out and go to the hospital. Stressful for an eight year old!
