I can be at the start of the road 20 minutes from the house, so it's not like I have to live up there.

It's the tourists who make it so hard to enjoy the road... more pics in the Home Before Dark ride report.

very beautiful pics, i want to ride it too. was snowed out due to later than usual winter plowing into may in mt. lassen ca., mt ranier wa in june and road to the sun in glacier. they look like wonderful rides on the map. it maybe time for another 48 state run one summer soon. just might take more than 10 weeks on the r2 though.

i have family in misoula and might just have to visit them again and drop in on you to for a ride partner/tourguide maybe.
