Oh yeah, a carerr on welfare. A career of 600$ a month plus a mere 200$ as food stamp and home subsidy.

Equal opportunity they say.

Here is a typical case.

i was on temporarily when living in AZ...im a single parent..was going to college and working full time..but i needed surgery...belive me its not a lot..even though the majority of ppl think it is..i received $200 cash per month and about the same amount in food stamps..not a windfall by any means....i had to live with a relative during this time, until i healed from my surgery...

How many are abusing or making a career in welfare ? How many are working people with children ?

Oh yeah, the victims in this situation are those who make over 200,000$ a year. I forgot about how they are miserable since they won't have enough to live all their dreams. Those who make 20,000$ a year should contribute more to the society. It's only because they lack motivation if they don't make enough to pay health care, education, housing and the balance of needs.

No, the problem is not in a form of whose fault it is, the problem lies in the degree of evolution of civilization. When the biggest preoccupations of some members of the society is their comfort when there are others that living in poverty, it shows where they are on the evolution tree.

If you prefer welfare to joining the military, or going to work in the oil patch (A&W is apologizing for having to raise their prices to cover labour costs & they still can't keep people), you're going to get no sympathy from me. Don't want those kind of jobs even though they're hiring? Fine... but then don't whine to me about how little welfare pays.

Think of the low payments of welfare as an INCENTIVE to get off your ass and do something different with your life.

Yes, it is.

Contrary to your claims, the military doesn't ask you if you are from the ghetto if you apply.

Contrary to your claims, the oil patch and mines don't ask where you were born if you apply.

Contrary to your claimss, charities and community service organizations don't ask if you were born in a ghetto before deciding whether to accept you as a volunteer or not.

You have the equal opportunity to work your ass off, pick yourself up when you fall, and move forward.

Claiming that the world screwed you, that you can't get hired because you are from the ghetto, is just bullshit. And loser bullshit at that.

Happy to help you with that:
  • Linda Taylor of Chicago used 14 aliases to obtain $150,000 for medical assistance, cash assistance and bonus cash food stamps. Dhe went from district to district with many disguises, using more than 100 aliases.
  • Dorothy Woods, who claimed 38 non-existent children.
  • Esther Johnson, who collected $240,000 for more than 60 fictitious children
  • Arlene Otis, indicted for 613 counts of illegally receiving $150,839 in welfare funds.
Meanwhile, last year the LA Times reported on statistics showing that 24% of new welfare applications in San Diego County contain some form of fraud.

Let's not forget the little thieves while looking at the big thieves...

Let's not forget those collecting welfare while working under the table. Who are committing income tax fraud at the same time.

Those collecting welfare while hauling in cash dealing drugs or gang banging. Who are committing income tax fraud at the same time.

The "single moms" collecting single mom welfare while shacked up with a man. Or a woman. Whatever.

The welfare recipients who, without a job to go to each day, can't get off their ass to go looking for a job each day. Who can't get off their asses to make an effort to make themselves more employable. The basketball court is more important. Or the bingo hall. Or watching Oprah.

And we know kids learn by modelling their parents behavior. So while we're wailing about these poor parents, let's remember that they're not only modelling their children into accepting government welfare as a way of life, but modelling criminal behavior as acceptable behaviour to engage in.

Obviously, quite a few.

I knew it was about time to cut to the class envy, class warfare cries of the socialist. Right on schedule.

Says the mental midget who wants us to believe that the military has a "we aren't hiring" sign out, and refuses to hire anyone who comes from a ghetto. Says the mental midget who wants us to cry tears for druggies, gang bangers, the "too cool for school" losers who would rather live a life of crime and/or menial life in the socialist gulag rather than grab themselves by the scruff of the neck and make changes in their life.

Socialists: it's always somebody else's fault. They'll try and guilt trip the hell out of everybody else, because they won't take personal responsibility for their own lives.

Can you imagine taking these people back about 100 years or so? When immigrants from Europe responded to advertisements of "Free Land", put everything they had into passage to North America, got off the train somewhere in the middle of the prairie, walked to their staked out quarter section with their belongings on their back, and set about proving up on their homestead. Can you imagine this mewling, crying socialist class being one of the immigrants who homesteaded and succeeded in those conditions, building North America into the agricultural powerhouse it became? What would they have done in the time when there were NO government handouts and entitlement programs? Just got back on the train? Or would they have not gotten on the train in the first place?

Maybe we could start a dumb fashion thread.
Well, seeing as we're way off the reservation already... maybe we shouldn't do that.

How smart can main stream society be when we run around trying to look like a bunch of "cool" loser gang bangers.

Gang bangers started wearing their baseball caps backwards... hey... look at everybody else!

They started wearing baggy clothes to hide weapons, bolt cutters - the tools of their trade.... hey... look at everybody else!

They're illiterate, so they take a noun: "disrespect", and use it as a verb: "disrespected". And now, the media and elected features have picked it up and talk just like a bunch of dead end loser gang bangers.

Let's not even get into a lot of the ink people are sporting these days, that does indeed almost pass for jailhouse tats. The Buddha, who did our airborne tattoos, would be rolling over in his grave to see this crude work being passed as ink.

Cool! That's progress - when we imitate the losers and oxygen thieves in our society.

But, but, but I kind of like stirring the pot...

As an admirer of fine ink I too think the jailhouse tat is a waste of good space that real art could have been applied to. Second in waste of space is the fancy calligraphy song lyrics that will turn to a fuzzy blob as they age because of the small lettering and fine lines. Third I would say is a cute little tweety bird that as things start to sag ends up looking more like big bird. One I saw in person, I was told that it was supposed to be a dolphin done many years before, I'm glad I was told before hand because I would have guessed differently as it was more of a whale like blob.

We are still talking about birth control aren't we? ... jus slight off track...

How about ways to make it retroactive?
