drz400sm 295lbs???

I was looking at the specs on the drz do you think it really is less that the X I find that hard to believe?

It may be listing a dry weight. The specs listed on the Yamaha site for the WRR/X is a wet weight (oil, coolant, fuel). If I remember a dry weight for the WRR/X is somewhere in the neighborhood of 20-25 lbs less then the listed wet weight????

The DR-Z400SM will be 321 pounds, wet.

I owned a 2009 model.
Front brake was pretty sad, I thought.

So you have a Drz? How do you have an X too
If so what bike do you prefere? I have the option

I owned a 2009 DR-Z400SM in the past, from October 2008 to October 2009.
I owned a 2008 WR-250X from December 2010 until this past August.

If I were to have one or the other right now, it would be the WR-250X.
I feel it looked better, performed better for it's size, and was a better-built piece.
The DR-Z required a lot more money in modifications to get it to where I liked it.
I feel, in hindsight, that the only advantage it had was more displacement with the engine.

my wrx with wider front and rear wheels is 281 w/ fuel.

My 2005 DRZ470SM was much, much lighter than my WR. . . or was it the 60 HP engine that made it feel that way

Sold the DRZ and I like the WR with half the HP much better.
