Busy day working on the WRR Empty

Ok so the wife and I are going to head to FL for the Xmas break and I am pulling the WRR south with me. I plan on getting out to ride in Ocala Forest on Wednesday. So today was planned as a day to get most of my projects done up on the bike and ready to go.

First I had to clean up the shop so I could get the car in and change the oil on it, then I had to go and make the shop a mess again working on the bike so tomorrow now I have to go and clean it up again.

But what I did today was first working on electrics, got my Fuseblock mounted up under the seat and got a circut for my heated gear and a circuit for my iPhone / usb charger wired in.

Next I took the time to finally replace my headlight with one I got from a KTM dealership and I finally have a high and a low beam on the bike once again. I can tell you that the fitment for a KTM part is perfect.

Then I had to make some modifications to the tail, reinstalling a DRC tail light and mounting a rear rack with a rotopax fuel can holder. The PO had installed a DRC taillight but what happened was it got filled up with water and mud and crap and corroded the resistors off the board. SO on this one I siliconed up all possible points of water entry.

Now that I have all the wiring done I moved on to basics. Got my flatland rad protection on, changed out to Engine Ice coolant, oil and filter change, and figured I'd put the new trackmaster II on

Got it all buttoned up and sitting pretty.

Now I turned my attention to building a platform for the trailer I am going to use to haul it south. This should work nicely I think.

So all in all a good 10 hours out in the shop and got just about everything ready to go.

Very nice. Nothing feels better than buttoning up a few projects. thumb

What's the "FYYFF" sticker stand for???

What's the story on the headlight? Better output/pattern?

This is usually associated with the ADVRider forum. It means FREAK YOU YOU FREAKING FREAK or really the more colorful version of the saying with curse words.

I would like to know this as well. I know that the pattern sucks if you try to put a HID in the stock WR headlight.

Sewerat, I hate to burst your bubble but the Ocala National Forest is a giant sand box.

The story on the headlight is that when I bought the bike the PO had replaced it with a junk polisport light that could only light up the fender and nothing out front. I think he took a stone in the lens of the stocker as all I got was a broken light and some hacked up wires. So I have been on the search for a decent replacement. Yamaha Canada wanted $350 to replace what I got from KTM for $130.

As far as the sand box. It's gotta be better then this snow and ice up here. Besides I always liked the sandbox as a kid

I won't agree on that one. I have the HID in mine and the pattern is pretty darned good. Gives a wider spectrum on low beam and much further and wider on hi beam. Busy day working on the WRR 3300039479

That is only what I had heard. I guess it depends on which kit you get.
