| Not a huge "ALE" fan, but wanted to try this because the other Brooklyn beers were so F'n good. This is okay, but I don't think I'll buy it again. With the warmer weather coming I'll be looking more towards the lagers and pilsners from Brooklyn. _________________ 2008 WR250X Gearing: 13t - 48t Power Commander 5 / PC-V Airbox Door Removed - Flapper glued - AIS removed FmF Q4 Bridgestone Battlax BT-003rs

| Initial taste is a strong smokey porter. Interesting in that the after-taste doesn't sit anywhere near as strongly. A good winter brew - but again - not something I'd really enjoy in the heat of summer. Having this around a roaring fire would be awesome. _________________ 2008 WR250X Gearing: 13t - 48t Power Commander 5 / PC-V Airbox Door Removed - Flapper glued - AIS removed FmF Q4 Bridgestone Battlax BT-003rs

| The wife and I went to a local micro-brewery for dinner last night.
I got a coffee stout that was to die for. Really fabulous. An ever so slight taste of coffee in a dark beer that didn't sit hard or leave a bitter after-taste.
If you're a coffee drinker and a beer drinker too you owe it to yourself to try a coffee stout at some point.
It was really really good.
We went to the Iron Hill Brewery down in Wilmington for anybody who knows about Iron Hill. There's a few different Iron Hill's in the general area. _________________ 2008 WR250X Gearing: 13t - 48t Power Commander 5 / PC-V Airbox Door Removed - Flapper glued - AIS removed FmF Q4 Bridgestone Battlax BT-003rs

| Stroooooooooooooong. 11% alcohol by volume. Semi-sweet initial taste. I like the chocolate and coffee stouts better. May not get this again. _________________ 2008 WR250X Gearing: 13t - 48t Power Commander 5 / PC-V Airbox Door Removed - Flapper glued - AIS removed FmF Q4 Bridgestone Battlax BT-003rs

| Strong, heavy, and quite friggin good. If you love coffee and you love stouts or porters this is a wonderful beer. It's not a summertime slam after cutting the grass beer, but in colder climates this beer is quite special. _________________ 2008 WR250X Gearing: 13t - 48t Power Commander 5 / PC-V Airbox Door Removed - Flapper glued - AIS removed FmF Q4 Bridgestone Battlax BT-003rs

| Wild Blue Wild Blue is a much better blueberry beer. I've tried every other kind around and found it had the best flavor. Unfortunately no one in New Hampshire stocks it. When I run across any it is snatched up and consumed sparingly.
Another company i miss is the Leinenkugel family brand. I can get their seasonal variety pack out here but only infrequently a full six pack.Leinie | |

| Here's what I'm having.... Awesome, rich & dark. My first real English Ale. I will be buying this again. The American brewed dark ales and stouts have nothing on this. Wychwood Brewery, Hobgoblin. | |

| So come on people, it's getting to be fall, or already is fall depending on where you live (temperature wise that is) which means Hallowe'en and all that. PUMPKINS So who likes a good pumpkin beer? Anyone? I'd heard a lot about the Dogfish Head "Punkin Ale" so I thought it's time to try it. There's a nice spicy taste and a definitive aftertaste of allspice and cinnamon. For me, this is not a beer to be pounded down. It's more about taking your time and enjoying the different flavors. I would not want this in the hotter months at all. In fact, sipping this beer around a bonfire on a cold night would be perfect. Which is something I might try tonight. _________________ 2008 WR250X Gearing: 13t - 48t Power Commander 5 / PC-V Airbox Door Removed - Flapper glued - AIS removed FmF Q4 Bridgestone Battlax BT-003rs

| I've had the Trader Joe's pumpkin ale.. they usually push it about this time of year. I can't say i'm too impressed, & i'll drink just about any beer without complaint. But i'd probably pick a keystone over the pumpkin ale..
I'm not real picky.. if you're buying, i'm drinking! Locally, the oak creek brewing co. has some nice brews.. some are rebranded as 'mormon lake' & even 'grand canyon', i believe. Wasach has some nice utah beers, but are usually only available to buy in 3.2 in the stores.. utah state laws & all. The polygamy porters are a fine, rich beer.. 'why have just one?' is their motto.
But if i were to be stranded on a desert island with time to grab only one case of beer from the sinking ship, i'd probably grab coronas, stellas, kirins, heineken, or sapporo. But when it gets close to st. patty's day, i work on me brogue & arder a guinness! Nothing like watching all the tiny bubbles come up to farm the big, frothy head! And ye don't have to bother with eatin' when drinkin' a guinness! It's a fine meal in itself!

| while playing a grueling game of golf yesterday, my fellow employee the beverage cart lady recommended this brew to help my game.. It was quite tasty! It's an amber ale with a full, nutty taste & comes with a 6% kick. It's made in Tempe, Az, yet gives you the feel of playing golf on the old course at St. Andrews.. "Not all chemicals are bad. Without hydrogen or oxygen, for example, there would be no way to make water, a vital ingredient in beer." ---Dave Berry A man and a friend are playing golf one day at their local golf course. One of the guys is about to chip onto the green when he sees a long funeral procession on the road next to the course. He stops in mid-swing, takes off his golf cap, closes his eyes, and bows down in prayer. His friend says: “Wow, that is the most thoughtful and touching thing I have ever seen. You truly are a kind man.” The man then replies: “Yeah, well we were married 35 years.” | |
