| Once again I've returned to the Wychwood Craft Beers. This time I'm partaking the very fine "King Goblin". They say its brewed only on a Full Lunar Moon. With its full body and yet very soft notes I'm finding this too is an extremely drinkable beer. I started out with a half a glass.... going back for more, went down smooooth. Reminds me of some of the Barley Wine beers... but.. well, ...definitely not an American brew. Highly, highly recommend this one. Yes, that good. | |

| The aroma is uniquely pleasing and pungent hops: grapefruit, pineapple, coconut, honey, oak, and flowering trees. It sort of tastes like a pina colada, but without the sweetness ... maybe with a twist of grapefruit?. I've never had anything quite like this brew. My first "Barley Wine Beer". With 11.5% Alcohol a really nice buzz is setting in ... I bought 2 bottles after a tasting sampler at our local retailer a couple weeks ago. Being a pint and a half in volume its two glasses... I've had one... If I have another I'll really be f***** up... saving it for later... good thing for spell check. god am i a light weight...?... Good Stuff. | |

| I'm pretty leery of the barley-wine stuff. Can you influence me one way or the other?
alcohol content is high....but so are plenty of other beers.
what makes a barley-wine different?

wow .. how is that? The Smithwick's? It's very good in a very average sort of way. It's nothing over-the-top special, but there's nothing wrong with it at all. Smooth. Crystal clear reddish-amber color. Head forms easily in glass and there's decent lacing. Not hoppy at all. Mellow flavor. Goes down easy and has a nice even taste. It's a Guinness product, so if you've had Harp and like that I'd say you'd like the Smithwick's too. _________________ 2008 WR250X Gearing: 13t - 48t Power Commander 5 / PC-V Airbox Door Removed - Flapper glued - AIS removed FmF Q4 Bridgestone Battlax BT-003rs

| I'm in Macae (about 4 hours north of Rio) for work, have never seen it in the states and probably won't.
Unlike most US (have to be careful not to say "American" since technically this still is) pilsner it's made with proper ingredients instead of rice. That means there is no weird after taste, 5% alcohol, but still drinks like a light beer.
Dark beer isn't very popular down here so you pretty much have to go to a brewery (Devassa is a good one) to get dark stuff.
I've really like all the beers I've tried down here so far and the price is great. That Antarctica was R$15.90 for a 12 pack which is about $8.80 US.
If any of ya'll come down here I recommend finding a Devassa Cervejaria (Brewery). I'm not a big fan of stouts, but they have one that my friends like. They also have a fantastic IPA.

| Yeungling is usually my go to beer when I just want something to drink. I got a few of the 2012 KBS and this is my last one. I have to keep fighting the urge to drink it. Amazing beer, I highly recommend it... if you can find it. | |

| St Arnold Santo by Noah_K_T, on Flickr My beverage for tonight. It's described as a "black kolsch"... it's like an IPA without the heavy hop bite. I dig it. Also, Here is another Brazil beer I forgot to upload. Skol Cerveja by Noah_K_T, on Flickr | |
