I had the Alaska Leather full pelt on another bike and loved it. The only problem, that caused me to switch, was that it could/would get wet and then it was wet for a while. Sitting on that wet thing was like wearing a diaper, I guess, since I no longer wear diapers. At least, not yet, time may change that, but that's another thread...
Anyway, I switch to a bead rider and it's been very good. Cool in hot weather, a little cool in cold weather, but drains water immediately and feel good to me now. Takes ride to get used to, but my "bead-rider" was exceptionally cheap because I bought it at Walmart. It's a car seat cover that I re-purposed but cutting the fish-line strings and removing the required number of beads to fit my seat. Re-tied and melted the ends of the lines with a lighter and it's been good for a year. The beads are starting to fade and I may have to replace it this year, but hey, for $15, I'm not complaining.
My wife still has my Alaska Leather seat cover on her Burgman and she loves it. Of course, she won't ride below 50' and she won't ride in the rain, so it's no issue for her. They are very comfortable and I can highly recommend them for road use. I switched because I couldn't be bothered to take it off for the few times that I wash my bike, and worry about where to carry it, if the weather turned rainy.
Alaska Leather sells full pelts as well as half size, both available in sheared and un-sheared. They have colors available too, if your feelin' real wild. http://www.alaskaleatheronline.com/servlet/StoreFront
