2013 WR250R?

Has anyone heard if Yamaha plans to offer the WR250R again in 2013?

don't understand why the US model still has that damn ugly and huge tail light!? whats up with that?? The european model has had the awesome led taillight for ages....

Same thing in Canada. The law dictates the whale tail. It has to do with the hight of the reflector and such. Most of us modify it in to something more fitting (which is illegal btw). I agree with you, it is #@$%^& ugly !
But so are some licence plates in Europe too, some are enormous and have nasty colors!

We have an LED tail light here in the US.

As far as ugly, I guess it doesn't bother me. Riding with a friend that had a much shorter plate holder was funny when he had a stripe of mud going up his back.

But at least we don't have those huge license plates they have to have in Europe... :)

haha wasn't trying to diss the US model

it was more of a puzzled question seemed weird for yamaha to keep the (obviously) uglier/outdated tail light on when the EU model has a streetfighter/sport bike look.

as far as the regulations go... I think every country has enough stupid and annoying regs like that. like it would make any difference if the reflectors are placed 2 cm further back.... or the turn signals are 5 cm higher off the ground (personal experience sadly)
