Seats? will '12 fit '08 ?

I am trying to get an extra seat, any idea if an '12 will fit an '08?

All seats from all models should be directly interchangeable.

ONLY difference between model years is color choices, and 2008's had a shitty rear sprocket with a rubber gasket on it, and some 2008's had a defective fuel pump.

Besides that there is nothing different between model years other than color.

Why do you want an extra seat?

Setting up the bike for both myself and my wife to ride. She is 5'5' and I plan to get a lowered seat concepts seat for her.

as far as I know seats should still fit, but with older models even if the colour is the same, texture is different. Don't know the year it changed, but my 2010 model for example has a rougher surface then a 2008 one. But I don't think there's any difference between the seats other than aesthetics. (personally I like the rougher one as it looks less shiny/plasticy)

I've never seen an 08 to compare to but my 09 has a textured rough seat. I like it. Keeps your butt planted.
