Aftermarket Tach/Gauges

I'm sure the Trailtech Vapor will make its way in here eventually.

I am currently running a Stihl tach used for tuning chainsaws. Nice, small compact unit.

Oh ya, I'm all about gauges. This is the MotoScope Mini. It's a tach/speedo and much more. Read about it here.

That motoscope is a cool piece of kit!

Not sure about the gauge though, looks like it could be damaged easily out on the trail if it gets snagged on a root ect. Hopefully just the gauge gets damaged and not the case.

Well I don't ride off road much so I'm not worried about it getting broke off. Here is another view. It doesn't really stick out that far and I would think anything you hit on the trail would hit the water pump housing first anyhow.

so can we replace the stock cluster with a vapor? im looking the cost of a speedo healer and a vapor.

You won't need the healer if you run the Vapor because the Vapor uses a cable/magnet pickup. Same as the Acewell. I know someone has the Vapor. I saw it somewhere on TT, but I'm not certain if they replaced the entire cluster with it.

I bought the guage from speedwaymotors.com. But I can tell you that cheap ass AutoMeter guage didn't last two weeks after I installed it. They even claimed it was vibration proof and made to mount directly to the engine, but I found out that was a bunch of crap after I used it for a while. I have another guage on the bike now, made by Sharpe. I had it in my toolbox for a long time so don't ask me where I got it. It's 1 1/2" in diameter. Anything bigger won't fit in that area. The blue fitting I got from chicagoconnection.us. Here's the links to my install steps...

FUNCTIONS
Rev. counter	Measure the engine revolution by picking up the ignition noise Display from 0 to 16000rpm (display in 100rpm unit) For 1 to 12 cylinder(s) engine * Due to electromagnetic wave from bike itself, sometimes meter can not measure the accurate revolution.
Temp. meter	Radiator liquid temperature or engine oil temperature is measurable * The choice of measuring temperature is where the sensor is going to be fitted. * Please prepare a suitable separate-sold temp. sensor for your bike Display from -10 to 150 deg Centigrade or 14 to 300 deg Fahrenheit
Oil pressure meter	Display from 0 to 1000kpa * Please prepare the separate-sold oil pressure sensor and a suitable adaptor for your bike
Voltage meter	Display from 9V to 16V
Warning	Set up the warning point of max. revolution and temperature as you like,and when the measured value reaches to the warning point,backlight turns into red and light up the LED light. * Sometimes unable to distinguish the change of the backlight during daylight
Peak hold	Max. revolution is memorized and renewed automatically. And also be able to erase the record.
Bar signal	Choose one from revolution, temperature and oil pressure, and display it with bar signal.
LED back light	Backlight can be chosen from blue, clear, green and orange * Sometimes unable to distinguish the change of the backlight during daylight
Shifting light	Set up the shifting point as you like,and when the measured value reaches to the set-up point, the LED light flashes.
