Installed my new 7" rally light ( from Darryl @ http://www.cyclopsadventuresports.com/ ) and IMS 3G tank - I'm loving this bike more and more! I didn't go witht he HID - but the standard H4 bulb - plug and play for our bike. Looking to upgrade to an 80/100 shortly!

I'm thinking of getting this type of headlight. I see that this one is about $100. more then the Baja Design , and Trail Tech 8" race lights. I'd be interested in why you choose to go with this light over other designs........thanks,Max

Standard h4 bulb - plug n play for our wiring/stock bulb. No worries about ballasts. Spare parts available (bulb /lense) anywhere. Wanted something better than stock - but don't "need" a high end HID system. With the H4 - it's still DOT/legal.
Thought the 7" wouldn't take as much room as the HID - but still had to relocate the speedo.
So on Saturday I ran the p2d/darce challenge. Rode approx.' 18hrs 800km. Rode in the dark at 4:14 am start time and ended at 10:08pm. The course was tough for an average rider like me - but we pulled through the entire course (me and two 690's). I had a get off at 5am and blew my shoulder out- but 7 Alieves throughout the day and countless tylenols help :)
The ralley light with an 80/100 worked awesome. I couldn't have asked for anymore light for my ability. The seat concept seat was great also (spent alot of time standing of the 18hrs). The bike preformed flawlessly except for a scare around 9pm...'bike just died. Ended up that I picked up a small stick that wedged itself in between the kick stand and safety switch!! Once removed bike was fine!
Congrats on running the D'Acre Rally. As much fun as it must be, my body is way too old and worn out for that kind of abuse. Glad to know the WR did well.

Ditto for me, plus my dirt riding skills are subpar.
The ADV Ontario Roaming Ralley was very nearly more than I can handle, but it was FUN!
