Quick little video to see how I was doing. The more I watch it the less impressed I am with it. But considering I'm just starting out with leaving the ground I should be content.

Looks like you are off to a good start. Try to keep your weight centered on take off and be sure not to gas it or chop the throttle right at the lip of the jump, steady throttle is what you want. If you have a landing jump slightly nose down is better than nose high. I used to race amateur MX but was never an expert jumper or anything.

Thats decent air you got there. I would recommend that if you really wanting to start going bigger than what we saw, to get a true dirt bike. I took my wr250r to the MX track and starting jumping long tabletops and while it will handle most of it, once you start pushing it, you'll wish you had a lighter bike. It feels decent in the air, but the landing feels you're riding a couch. You'll bottom out if you don't have your suspension dialed and not to mention it but, everything dualsport related had to be ziptied down -- the force of the landing will make anything not secure fall off.

I landed nose low on a low on a 30ft table top jump, washed out the front and slammed my shoulder into the ground. My riding buddy thinks that the sidestand touched down which contributed to my losing it. Strained some muscles and ligaments in my shoulder and going to a see a doctor to see if I need any work done to it.

Word to the wise, use the right tools for job. The WRR will do it, but it won't do it well enough for it to be worth doing over and over again at those levels. Me, I'm going to fix my shoulder and then I'm gonna get a yz125, or kx250f.

Yeah I felt really good when I realized how big I was going. The stock suspension
was definitely straining on the landing. The X is my first and only bike so I have nothing to compare it to, but I believe you about the weight issue. I want to get a 450 race bike and convert it to sumo but also have dirt shoes to try that area out too. I'd like alot of things, but I got to work with the money I make, you know!?

lol If you look at the second helmet cam jump you can see the plastic stock rad gaurd that came off on one of them. lol.

Either way, I'm havin fun on the WR250X! ...And in the end, isnt that all that matters?

I'm glad you guys like the video and thanks for the encouragement and tips!thumb
